Evil eye existence is so real.

It have been observed too many divorces after showing off in public how nice they are to each other and what a beautiful life they have.

It have been seen rich people who like to show off but they are very poor in their hearts and depressed.

Don't show too often how much Allah has blessed you. It might be for some people's eyes to weak to resist. The evil eye is real. Be careful. May Allah protect us all from jealousy and the evil eyes.

Have you ever felt...Right after sharing a success story with someone, something really unexpected happens to you? Out of nowhere? Or just after you share a happy picture with your kids / family / parents - something bad happens to them all on a sudden?

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And from the evil of the envier when he envies.” [113:5]

The Arabic word al-‘ayn (translated as the evil eye) refers to when a person harms another with his eye. It starts when the person likes a thing, then his evil feelings affect it, by means of his repeated looking at the object of his jealousy. Allah commanded His prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), to seek refuge with Him from the envier.

Muslim, Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The evil eye is real and if anything were to overtake the divine decree, it would be the evil eye. When you are asked to take a bath (to provide a cure) from the influence of the evil eye, you should take a bath.”

Imam Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi  narrated that Asma bint ‘Umays said: “O Messenger of Allah, the children of J’afar have been afflicted by the evil eye, shall we recite ruqyah for them?” He said, “Yes, for if anything were to overtake the divine decree it would be the evil eye.”

Abu Dawud narrated that ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The person who had put the evil eye on another would be ordered to do wudu, then the person who had been afflicted would wash himself (with that water).

Evil eye is that it is real and is proven both by Islamic teachings and by real life experiences. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes (through hatred).” [68:51]

I know a man who lost his parents but refused to be called an orphan.

Man enough to love a strong woman years older than him, worked for her and made her stronger, opened his heart to her, sewed his clothes, and was faithful to her till her last breath. He was courageous and fearless.

He never judged anyone on their pasts or looks, and was moderate, open minded and tolerant. His neighbor was Jewish and his cousin-in-law was a Christian priest. He was beaten and exiled when he was helpless. He was merciful when he became stronger.

He was an intelligent, wise and a hard worker, built a long lasting nation out of nothing in the last 20 years of his life.

He had no parents, but loved his daughters and grandchildren. His one of the last will was "Be good to women".

This man is Prophet Muhammad, a man worth looking up to - peace be upon him

Just a couple of sayings of Muhammad peace be upon him below :

From Bukhari Volume 004, Book 052, Hadith Number 257.

Narrated By Abdullah : During some of the Ghazawat of the Prophet, a woman was found killed. Allah’s Apostle disapproved the killing of women and children.

"I advise you ten things: Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the booty, and do not be cowardly."

Ibn 'Abbas says: The Messenger of Allah, when dispatching his troops, would tell them, ” ..Do not behave treacherously, nor misappropriate war-booty, nor mutilate [those whom you kill], nor kill children, nor the people in cloisters." (Musnad Ahmad, Sunan At-Tirmidhi)

Another narration records that he said, “...Do not kill a woman, nor a child, nor an old-aged man" (Sharh as-Sunnah Al-Baghawi)

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet said: Go in Allah's name, trusting in Allah, and adhering to the religion of Allah’s Apostle. Do not kill a decrepit old man, a young infant, or a child, or a woman, do not be dishonest about booty, but collect your spoils, do right and act well, for Allah loves those who do well. (Sunan Abi Dawud)

And again, "Do not kill a child, nor a woman, nor an old man, nor obliterate a stream, nor cut a tree...” (Sunan Al-Bayhaqi)
