Nabeez+-+Prophet+Drink.jpg

Nabeez [Nabidh] was one of the drinks consumed by the Holy Prophet (SallaLlahu alaihi wasallam).

In his time, it was typically made with dates or raisins and water.

It is an alkalizing tonic, having the tendency to remove acidity from the stomach and digestive system and it also helps to remove other metabolic wastes from the body.

It improves digestion as it’s high in soluble fiber and it strengthens the memory.

It assists the spleen function, liver, throat, chest and prostate, and so is particularly good for men.

Nabeez will also benefit patients of Arthritis and elevated levels of Uric Acid (gout).

INGREDIENTS:

Ajwa Dates or any other dates available

Water 1 glass

Honey 1 tsp

METHOD:

Soak dates overnight in a covered container.

You can soak MUNAKA OR GOLDEN RASIN also instead of dates.

Remove seeds next day and grind dates with water, you can add honey too.

Strain and serve.

You can drink water without grinding dates.

Eat dates separately.

An ideal drink for Ramazan that will boost u.

Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP) will keep their expectations realistic, with Pakistan’s sole athlete Muhammad Karim takes the stage on February 19 in Sochi

Growing up among some of the world's highest mountains in the northern region of Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan, Karim caught the skiiing bug early -- albeit with none of the expensive kit that many Western skiers grow up with.

"I started skiing at the age of four years on wooden skis made by my uncle. Our schools were closed in the winter and skiing was the only way to spend our holidays,” he told AFP.

While Muhammad Abbas, who became the first Pakistani to compete in Winter Olympics in 2010, Karim was also expected to put up a good show. Abbas ended up performing better than many skiers from ski-developed countries. Even though this time the competition is tough, we want Karim to complete the spirit finish course and not fall down.

KARACHI: All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them, says Walt Disney.

Disney’s quote, perhaps, best explains the success story of Farhan Masood, who has been recognised as one of the world’s brilliant minds by Massachusetts Institute of Technology earlier this year for his product – world’s fastest retina and face scanner algorithm called SmartXS.

SmartXS is a biometric verification system that uses human face and eye to verify his identity, Masood said, and works mainly in two spaces – workforce management and security access control.

“Our algorithm is very fast,” he said while claiming it is the world’s fastest retina and face scanner algorithm.

“We are also getting queries from immigration departments of many governments for this product,” he said, refusing to share details. “University of Pennsylvania has also shown interest in the medical application of this product.”

Before starting his own entrepreneurial venture, Masood served as IT professional and had a lucrative job. He is the originator of Urdu, Persian and Arabic on internet and was able to incorporate Urdu, Persian and Arabic characters in English-based Windows back in 1997.

Masood was hired as a project director in Dubai Electronic Government in 2000. “The government had softened its state laws for one day to hire me and few others,” he said as he didn’t have a bachelor’s degree, a requirement for that job.
